Do-it-yourself Mother’s Day flower bouquet

Here is a great project for your kids to do with your husband/wife/partner/caregiver in preparation for Mother's Day (who are we kidding if you are the one reading this blog -- you are going to be the one to do it with him/her).
Super easy & cute.  You will have a great time doing this project together and they will love giving it to you on your special day.
Enjoy!

Materials Needed:
  • 1 piece of construction paper
  •
  • tissue paper – cut into squares -- approx. 6 inches works well
  •
  • markers, crayons, stickers, etc.
  •
  • tape
  •
  • glue (optional)
  •
  • paintbrush (optional)

Instructions:
  • Have your child decorate the construction paper with markers, crayons, stickers, etc. (whatever you have in the house).
  •
  • Help your child roll the paper into a cone shape and tape it together.  This is going to be the wrapping around the flower bouquet.
  •
  • If using glue, have your child brush glue on the inside of the cone with the paintbrush.
  •
  • Have your child crumple each square of tissue paper.
  •
  • Have your child stuff the crumpled up tissue paper into the paper cone. (The glue will help to keep the tissue paper “flowers” inside).
  •
  • Have them share with a loved one.
  •
  • Act surprised if for you!
  •
  • Hug, kiss, repeat.
